Counter Strike New Revealed
Valve finally revealed Counter Strike New after weeks of rumors. It's an update for CS:GO that will bring the game onto the Source 2 engine and make some major visual changes.
It also comes with the ability to use smoke grenades that respond and sub-tick updates for servers. It's made a lot of armchair gamers go crazy however, it appears to be an upgrade for the average player.
Smokes
Counter Strike New is getting an overhaul that will completely alter the smoking system used in the game. The changes, which are dubbed responsive smokes, are an important game changer. Smokes will expand to fill in spaces and move around objects on the map. They will also react with the lighting in the games, making them appear more realistic. In addition to these new features, smokes will now be capable of interacting with gameplay events and will offer new tactical possibilities. Bullets, for instance, will cause smoke to be pushed to temporarily clear sightlines. Hex grenade blasts will also disperse smoke obstruction.
The most significant change to smokes is that they will now be a more dynamic element of the game. Smokes in previous versions were a fixed-shaped object that had a restricted range of movement and vision blocking. Smokes of the new design will fill the space in which they are located and block more of a player's vision when they are there. This is a major improvement that will make the game more exciting and provide both sides with the same level of visibility.
Additionally smokes are now able to react to the environment as well as weaponry and lighting in the world. This makes smoke more realistic and give players to use it to gain an advantage over their opponents. This will especially be beneficial in the chaotic 5v5 matches which are bound to occur on every map.
Smokes are no longer a one-way. This was a major issue in CSGO as it allowed players to see the position of their opponent from behind the smoke. Twistzz is a popular CS:GO professional who claims that the new system makes CS2 more fair for both teams.
Other minor changes include adjusting smoke particles vertically to minimize the visible edges, and updating viewers' smoke overlay visuals so that they correspond to their camera's position. The expiration time of smokes was changed to match the visuals on screen.
Loadouts
CS: GO players are now able to customize their weapon selection prior the start of each game. The revamped loadout system allows players to choose the weapons that best match their playstyle and team's strategies. The new system also adds new tactical depth to the game, since players must be able to balance firepower and utility.
In addition to the new loadouts, the CS: GO update includes many other improvements and modifications. Most importantly, the buy menu has been completely revamped. The old buy wheel has been replaced with an adjustable grid that displays all options for purchase simultaneously. The grid is filled with five pistols and five "mid-tier weapons" like submachine guns, shotguns, and rifles.
The new system is easy to use, and give players more control over their weapon selection. It will let them pick the weapons that fit their style of play and team tactics the best, as well as experiment with different combinations. They can also compare their gear against other players to see how well they stack up.
Many players have praised the flexibility while others have criticised the change for departing from the core essence Counter-Strike. They also expressed concern over how it could affect agents' skins and loadouts specific to the map that are based on visibility.
Despite these criticisms however, it is important to remember that the new loadout system is in its infancy and will go through more thorough testing over the next few months. Certain of these issues may be addressed in future updates. It is crucial to keep up-to-date for more information.

In addition to the new CS: GO features, the latest update also includes Workshop Tools that can be enabled through the game's settings menu. They allow community contributors to design weapon finishes, stickers, and maps. The update will also live ban players who break VAC guidelines in matches.
The new CS GO update will be released in the middle of summer. For now, players can browse the complete list of features and updates by visiting the official CS: GO website.
Sub-Tick Updates
The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in small intervals of time, referred to as ticks. Valve is determined to ensure that CS: GO is responsive and smooth. Even the tiniest delay can alter the accuracy of an attack. A new video shows one of the biggest under-the-hood enhancements, also known as sub-tick updates.
Rather than the 64-tick update that occurs every millisecond, the CS: GO will now be able utilize sub-ticks (or as Valve calls them, "micro-ticks") to communicate with the server. Each of these small increments of time will be recorded by the client and transmitted to the server, which then return the updated game state to players. The servers will now know exactly moment you fired your shot or jumped, peeked, and other inputs.
The video doesn't provide all the information. However it does state that every piece of data sent by the client has a timestamp and that the server will collect all data in chronological order from all players prior to sending it back. According to the video the CS: GO server will now be able to transmit up to twice as much information as a 64-tick server.
This means that even when the tick rate of the game is increased to 128 Hz, it will still be able to handle your commands instantly. Micro-tick updates can also reduce input lag, making sure that the server responds to your commands without glitches or delays.
Valve's technical improvements to the game are just the beginning. Valve employs particles and dynamic smoke to improve how smoke interacts with the environment. It's upgrading all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures and models. All CS: GO weapons and cosmetics will also get a facelift with Source 2 tools and features.
Maps
The next update for Counter Strike New brings new maps, as well as a few classics that have been updated with facelifts. These updates are being tested in an unspecified beta. The first set includes an upgrade and touchstone map that will not see significant changes to gameplay, while other maps have been revamped or rebuilt using the new Source 2 Tools.
One of them is Overpass has been reworked to take advantage of the new engine's unified lighting system. The map's dark underground has been flooded with light to make it more spacious and less congested. Smoke grenades have expanded dynamically in order to fill in spaces, and interact with light.
Another map that's been reworked is Italy that has been given an overhaul in texture, lighting and structure. The new version is also more balanced than its predecessor which was heavily CT-oriented. In cs2 cases can anticipate seeing classics like Aztec and Militia redesigned.
These maps won't be added to the competitive map pool even though they're still playable. The exception is Train which has been pulled out of Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet confirmed whether the other maps taken from the pool will be reinstated.
Helsingin Sanomat is the national newspaper of Finland. Its update has been criticized as controversial. The newspaper has been active in its criticism of Russia's actions towards Ukraine. The map is based on war-torn Donetsk. It's titled de_voyna, and features a number of references to the conflict.
The developer will release a set Source 2 Tools for map makers in the future. This will include features like improved lighting and character reading, as well physically-based rendering that produces realistic materials and textures. It will also help in the implementation of real-world items, such as windows and doors. The update is expected to be released sometime in the summer.
